I love Trista Mateer and this book of poetry does not ...

I love Trista Mateer and this book of poetry does not disappoint. It's not meant to be read over time, I read it all in one sitting and it changed me as a person. I highly recommend this book to any poetry lover or any person going through a period of change, loss or letting go.

(I sound like I'm exaggerating but I'm not.)

Wow. Words almost cannot describe the love I have for Trista's poetry. I started reading it online, in separate pieces, and that's when I began to think of her as quite talented. It wasn't until this book, though, that I really understood how fantastic she is. There are works in here that were not posted online, because the internet isn't good enough for them. They have a need to be put down on paper. It's incredible. Even the structure of the book is amazing. Slowly and steadily, the pieces of the story start coming together in the reader's mind with a clarity that would be impossible if the writer was not so great at what she does. Trista tells a very compelling and personal story with her raw style of poetry, and it's amazing. I am in awe of my ability to read this book repeatedly. I know, based on this book (and her other work that she's posted online - trust me, this is not a lucky break) that she is going to continue to surprise me and make me laugh and sob and aggressively feel far into the future. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next. Wow.

Definitely worth getting

This book is definitely read best in one go- the narrative flows much better that way. Anyone that's gone through a breakup can connect with at least one of the poems in here, and in the end, you close it feeling like you've just gotten off a strong emotional journey of your own. Highly recommend.
